Scope

This privacy statement aims at informing the user of this website according to the Federal Data Protection Act and Telemedia Act on the type, scope, and purpose of the collection and use of personal data by Gibs geologen + ingenieure GmbH und Co. KG.

The website operator takes the privacy of users very seriously and treats their personal data confidentially and in compliance with statutory provisions.

It should be kept in mind that data transfer via the Internet is generally associated with security vulnerabilities. Absolute protection against access by unauthorized persons is impossible to realize.

Matomo (formerly Piwik)

Our website uses the Matomo web analytics application. Matomo is a free and open source application.

Matomo uses “cookies”. Cookies are small text files stored by the web browser on the user’s end device and allow for an analysis of the website use. Information regarding the use of our website generated by cookies is stored on our server following the anonymization of your IP address.

Cookies created by Matomo remain on the end device until deleted by the user.

The placement of Matomo cookies is regulated by Section. 6 Para. 1 f) GDPR. As the operator of the website, we have legitimate interest in the anonymized analysis of the user behavior in order to optimize both our web content and – potentially – advertisement.

Information regarding the use of the website stored in the Matomo cookies is not circulated. The placement of cookies by the user’s web browser can be prevented. However, prevention may limit some of the functions of our website.

A user can deactivate the storage and use of personal data by utilizing an opt-out cookie that prevents the storage of Matomo usage data. Customer Satisfaction

In order to maintain our quality management system, Gibs analyzes a client’s perceptions of the level of compliance in regards to his/her requests and expectations.

The assessment of the projects by the client is performed using the Gibs homepage.

Upon completion of a project, Gibs sends out one (1) digital customer survey per email. The email comprises a link to our homepage. The client can evaluate the linked project and provide comments if he/she wishes to do so. By clicking the “send” button, an email containing the information is sent to our contact address.

The data collected this way are only used for internal use and evaluations at our office. Individual data are not passed on to third parties. The data are anonymized for further use, e.g. to depict the development of customer satisfaction over time to third parties.

Rights of the User: Information, Correction, and Deletion

Upon request, the user is informed free of charge of the personal data stored. Provided your request does not collide with legal data saving obligations (e.g. data retention), the user is entitled to the correction of incorrect data and the blocking and deletion of personal data.
